Ready to dive into island life?

Emily was born and raised on Bainbridge! Here’s her insider’s guide to a perfect day on the island.

9:30 AM – Arrive by ferry or bridge: Park on Winslow Way and grab your morning brew at Blackbird Bakery or Pegasus Coffee. Both local favorites.

10:00 AM – Explore Winslow: This is Bainbridge’s lively downtown, brimming with curated shops and cozy restaurants. Must-see gems include:

Eagle Harbor Bookstore – A charming, creaky-floored local treasure.

Wavekelly – A must-visit for new, modern wardrobe staples.

KiDiMu – A fun stop for the kids, with interactive exhibits that’ll keep the little ones busy!

12:00 PM – Head to the South End: Immerse yourself in island life at Pleasant Beach Village. Shop, see the outdoor pool club (one of two on the island), check out the beach and Fire + Floe. For lunch, head to Marketplace for delicious Greek-inspired food and a relaxed, community gathering spot.

2:00 PM – Nature Time!  The island is endless in its outdoor experiences.

Fay Bainbridge State Park – Sandy beach, epic mountain views, and logs for fort-building fun.

Grand Forest – With 240 acres and 8 miles of trails, it's an adventurer’s dream for hiking or biking.

Battlepoint Park – Home to the Founder’s Court, where pickleball was born! Play a game and step into Bainbridge history.

Meadowmeer Golf Course – A 9-hole public golf course with easygoing vibes (and Emily’s neighborhood).  You’ll enjoy an afternoon of relaxing golf or, if it rains, head indoors for some swings at the golf simulator.

4:00 PM – Happy Hour: Head to Coppertop!  Choose from Fletcher Bay Winery (indoor and outdoor seating, live music on Wednesdays) or Bainbridge Brewing (local brews and arcade games in their loft). Can’t decide? Both also have tasting rooms downtown, so you’re covered no matter when you’re heading back.

6:00 PM – Dinner’s Served: Emily’s picks to wrap up your day:

Ba Sa – A local favorite (Emily’s family’s fav spot).

Bruciato – Fantastic pizza just steps from the Sotheby’s office.

Town & Country Market – Perfect for an easy, crowd-pleasing meal from their hot bar.

Extra time? Swing by Rolling Bay for a stroll through Bay Hay & Feed, grab an iconic t-shirt, and explore their garden center and gift shop. It’s all things Bainbridge!

Pro tip: Visiting in spring or summer? Don't miss a free summer concert at Battle Point Park or a trip to the Moonlight Market—both are perfect for soaking in the local vibe.
